ABOUT THE SINGAPORE GLASS DOMES

The Map's stunning glass domes feature some of Singapore’s most iconic landmarks and symbols of everyday life on the tropical island: miniature collages of the Marina Bay Sands, Universal Studios and the Merlion alongside palm trees, shophouses, HDBs and food courts. This creative design object makes a unique and trendy farewell / Christmas gift, or a meaningful souvenir of the Lion City. The glass domes are available in two different sizes, and are sold exclusively in Singapore by Atelier Jacqueline.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

French graphic designer Charlotte Bourrus graduated from ENSAD in 2005 (visual communication section). At school, most of her work was based on topics like migration, emigrated populations, social issues, and the world and its conflicts. Today through her atelier ‘The Map’, collage remains as her main work process. Another of her notable passions is travel, spending her free time reading travel books and roaming the world. When she can't get away, she is just as content revelling and fantasising about luxurious and exotic vacations. With this in mind, she started creating maps, and then moved on to craft the stunning glass domes you see today.
